BMI welcomes summer interns

BMI 10 July 2006...  Following the success of its inaugural summer internship program held in 2005, Bahrain based BankMuscat International (BMI) recently rolled out its second internship program, giving young Bahraini students the chance to understand the dynamics of the banking industry while working in a live corporate environment.

As part of the program, 11 talented Bahraini students were selected from the University of Bahrain to undergo an intensive two month summer training during which they would familiarize themselves with the various departments as well as roles they play within the bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Abbas Al Derazi, Acting General Manager of BMI said

“With the emergence of convenient and innovative banking solutions today we have the opportunity to bring the bank closer to the everyday customer. It is therefore extremely crucial to be able to attract the best young talent in the market to tap into the unique ideas and immense potential they offer. Our annual internship program is fine-tuned to reflect those needs and I am pleased to see the enthusiasm and focus exhibited by these young interns. This program will give them the ideal opportunity to better understand the way BMI operates.”
