BMI signs on to lease 7 floors at the BWTC
BMI 21 July 2006... Bahrain, Manama- 26th June: The Bahrain World Trade Centre (BWTC) yesterday announced that Bahrain-based BankMuscat International (BMI) has become its newest tenant and leased over 4,000 square metres of space.
"BMI has experienced remarkable growth in Bahrain since its inception in January 2005 and the BWTC provides an optimal environment to house our rapidly expanding business," said BMI acting general manager Abbas Al Derazi.
"Offering both office and commercial space in one prime location is a unique offer and one that fits well with our ongoing expansion strategy within Bahrain.
"Moving into the BWTC will provide our staff and customer base with greater access and convenience.
"We are pleased to become among the first tenants to sign on to the development and look forward to taking advantage of the many benefits its one-of-a-kind design and highly advanced infrastructure and technology can provide."
The BWTC is situated on the Manama waterfront and comprises two 50-storey towers, which offer office space, business support services and "leisure and lifestyle locales" including restaurants, spa and health and sports centres.
The complex further includes a shopping mall set to house some 150 multi-brand retail outlets and exclusive boutiques, as well as the five-star Sheraton Hotel.
The office towers are the first of their kind in the world, using wind energy to provide approximately 11 to 15 per cent of the electricity needs of the towers.
