BMI 04 September 2007...  BMI today announced the appointment of Karl Stumke as Regional Corporate Director. Karl joins BMI from Barclays.

Karl brings with him 23 years of banking experience having worked in South Africa, London, Mauritius and Tanzania in various executive positions. Karl will be responsible for leading and developing BMI’s Corporate, Financial Institutions and Trade offerings.

Karl was previously the Regional Managing Director of Barclays’ operations in the Indian Ocean. A major portion of Karl’s career has been in Corporate and Merchant Banking with particular focus on Relationship Management, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance, Syndicated Loan Markets (both primary and secondary), Mergers and Acquisitions and Aircraft Financing.
