Bahraini wins USD 100,000 in prize scheme

Bahrain based BMI Bank, an associate of BankMuscat, today announced that 26 year old Bahraini Ahmed Mohammed Hasan was the winner of its first USD 100,000 quarterly prize draw for the Al Mazyona saving certificate prize scheme. Ahmed, a customer of the Sanad branch, was presented with a cheque for the amount by the Branch Manager in the presence of the Head of Retail Sales and Channels.
In addition to 0.5% interest p.a., 14 weekly prizes of USD 1,000 each as well as 3 monthly prizes of USD 10,000 each, customers now get a chance to win USD 100,000 offered through a new quarterly prize taking the total number of prizes offered to 768 in a year. The Al Mazyona saving certificate is priced at BD 50 each and is available for anyone over the age of 18. Each certificate automatically enters into the respectively weekly, monthly and quarterly draws based on the number of days the certificate is held. With the exception of days of the draws, certificates can be redeemed at any time including additional interest payment of 0.5%. The draws are held at the bank’s corporate office every Sunday at 10:00 AM and is officiated by the representative from the Ministry of Commerce and the external auditor and is in accordance with Bahrain Banking and Chamber of commerce laws
